Join or Start a Chapter
Participating in an SGAC chapter is the best way to get involved in our fight to end the AIDS pandemic! Working together with other young activists across the country builds our political power to make demands on our legislators to do the right thing and fund AIDS treatment. Register to start a chapter today.
Lobby your Legislator
One way that SGAC is incredibly successful in changing policy around HIV and AIDS is by building relationships with our representatives and senators at their in-district offices. Your legislators are accountable to you, and they like to hear what is important to their contituents.
The way to be most effective is to have monthly meetings with your legislator's office. Get a group of friends together, make an appointment, and go talk to them about why funding extremely successful programs like PEPFAR and the Global Fund is important to you. It's ok to meet with an office if you aren't a constituent, but make sure that you have constituents with you.
How do you organize a successful lobbying meeting with your legislator? Use this guide as a reference!

Go ask Presidential Candidates
We have all the tools and resources necessary to end the AIDS pandemic, but need the political will to do so. We must take action to demand HIV treatment for everyone in need. Challenge presidential hopefuls to take the Presidential Pledge now.
Build the Movement
Know other young people who are passionate about global health justice? Tell your friends to check out SGAC (and then ask them to join your chapter!).
